AIR MOVER
An innovative system that ensures the safe and efficient handling of a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) within record time.
The Air Mover was first used in the rotation and translation of the TBM Martina for the Valico variant (A1 Highway – Sparvo Tunnel).
TWM
The Tunnel Widening Machine is equipment developed by the Palmieri Group, designed to expand an operational tunnel while maintaining uninterrupted traffic flow. This integrated system consists of two machines: in the first phase, a pre-cutting machine performs a semicircular excavation at the tunnel face. In the second phase, the “shield erector segment” machine installs and consolidates precast concrete segments, forming the crown of the widened tunnel. The two phases are alternatd until the full tunnel widening is completed.
RISER CONCEPT
Thanks to the partnership with Webuild – Salini Impregilo, the Palmieri Group has been able to contribute to the realization of this significant project, which led to the development of a new excavation method that enables the construction of vertical risers by excavating and lifting pipe segments upwards, in underwater conditions.
Milling Equipment
