WTC 2026, Montreal

We are pleased to announce that Palmieri Group will be present at the WTC (World Tunneling Conference), which will be held in Montreal from May 18th to 21st.

It will be a packed event with topics to discuss, such as: planning and use of underground space, instrumentation, monitoring and remote sensing, artificial intelligence and machine learning, conventional tunneling under difficult conditions, microtunnelling, and many others.

The choice fell on Montreal, an island at the confluence of the St. Lawrence and Ottawa rivers.

A city rich in history and at the same time a major technology hub. Its world-renowned cuisine, incredible safety, multiculturalism (more than 30 languages are spoken among residents), and an intricate 33km-long underground and pedestrian network, make Montreal the city that hosts the most international conferences in the Americas.

Palmieri Group will be present at booth C0108 to showcase its projects in Italy and around the world.

Palmieri’s contribution to major projects underway in Italy and around the world

At a time when Italy is experiencing an extraordinary period of intense activity in the large-scale underground construction sector, attention is focused not only on excavation machinery but also on the technical partners who contribute—often out of the spotlight—to the efficiency and continuity of TBM progress.

Among these, the Palmieri Group plays a consolidated role in the supply of tools and the management of overhaul and maintenance activities, supporting a variety of construction sites throughout Italy and around the world.

The latest major project involving the Palmieri group is the S19 Rzeszów Południe–Babica in Poland, which involved the use of the AIRMOVER, a TBM support system composed of 10 steel structures, each equipped with eight cushions (“AIR CUSTERS”) and a required air flow of 240 cm/min at a pressure of 7 bar.

In Italy, the Palmieri group is currently involved in a construction site in Sicily, more precisely in Cefalù, in collaboration with TOTO Costruzioni, where it supplied the excavation tools for the Margherita TBM.
