This year during the event dedicated to dispendents and their families, normally an occasion to exchange greetings before the Christmas closure, there was an opportunity to toast a very important anniversary for the Group.
30 years ago, in fact, an evacuation order for the Silla plant was notified by the Civil Defense. An extremely dangerous landslide could have engulfed the entire plant. At that time at that site, the entire production department and offices were located.
It was an incredible team effort: all employees were involved in the move by which the entire production department was moved to the Canevaccia site. The operation was completed in record time, counting also on the extraordinary help of many neighboring companies.
Today the Canevaccia plant is the company’s mechanical hub. In an area of about 15,000 square meters, much of the necessary mechanical work is carried out, making this production unit the flagship of the Group.
Present at the event were employees with their families, former employees now retired who have given so much to the company, many external collaborators and some of the most important and long-standing suppliers. But above all, the Palmieri family, Mr. Silvano with his wife and children and grandchildren who recalled with gratitude and satisfaction the journey they have made in these 30 years.
